Prof. Peter Msoffe led discussions during a consultative meeting between TCU and universities offering teacher education programmes in Dar es Salaam

On 5th March Director of Higher Education from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Peter Msoffe led discussions during a consultative meeting between Tanzania Commission for Univetsities (TCU) and universities offering teacher education programmes in Dar es Salaam.

The meeting was aimed at discussing teacher training at the university level following the review of curriculum at primary, secondary, and teachers education in accordance to the Education Policy 2014 (2023 Edition) so as to have a harmonised training system on teacher education.

The meeting was also attended by Commissioner of Education Dr. Lyabwene Mtahabwa and Director of Policy and Planning from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, TCU Executive Secretary, Prof. Charles Kihampa and Director General of Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE), Dr. Aneth Komba.
