An opinion has been given to all teachers of primary and secondary schools and colleges in the country to reduce the use of whips and threats to students as a way to make them successful in their studies because that is not the right attitude.

The opinion has been given in Dar es Salaam by the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Lyabwene Mtahabwa during the opening of the two-day meeting of stakeholders of the Teacher Education Development Project (TESP) where he represented the Secretary General, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Francis Michael

Rai imetolewa kwa walimu wote wa shule za msingi na sekondari na vyuo nchini kupunguza matumizi ya viboko na vitisho kwa wanafunzi kama njia ya kufanya wafaulu katika masomo yao kwa kuwa huo si mtazamo sahihi.

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda has strongly condemned the rigging of examinations by some unscrupulous government employees and urged school principals not to indulge in such fraud.

Minister Mkenda said this in Dodoma while opening the 17th General Meeting of the Tanzania Secondary School Principals' Association (TAHOSA) where he said by doing so he is preparing a nation that will fail to work effectively.

Waziri wa Elimu, Sayansi na Teknolojia Prof. Adolf Mkenda amekemea vikali udanyanyifu wa mitihani unaofanywa na baadhi ya watumishi wa Serikali wasio waaminifu na kuwataka Wakuu wa shule kutojiingiza katika udanganyifu huo.

Waziri Mkenda ameyasema hayo Jijini Dodoma wakati akifungua Mkutano Mkuu wa 17 wa Umoja wa Wakuu wa Shule za Sekondari Tanzania (TAHOSA) ambapo amesema kwa kufanya hivyo ni kuandaa taifa ambalo litashindwa kufanya kazi kwa ufanisi.

The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and the Chonqing Technical Institute (CQVIE) from China have inked a bilateral agreement to collaborate in pushing forward technical education in Tanzania.

Among the cooperation agreements between these institutions is the exchange of students and teachers (exchange program) to exchange experience in the skills they get in training.
 

Witnessing the stamping of the deal, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda said the move will enable Tanzania to have professionals with international experience.
