SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FROM THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT, 2025/2026

1.    Call for Applications

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to inform the general public that theGovernment of Arab Republic of Egypt is offering scholarships to Tanzanian students for Undergraduate, Masters and Phd programmes tenable at various Universities in Egypt for the 2025/2026 academic year. 

The closing date for applications on the e-platform is 15 September 2025.

2.     Eligibility Criteria

     Applicants should meet the following requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree Applicants 
   1. Must be younger than 19 years of age by 01 January, 2026.
2. Master’s Degree Applicants 
   1. Hold a recognized Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA 3.8 or equivalent. 
   2. Must be younger than 26 years of age by 01 January, 2026.
3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Applicants
   1. Hold a recognized Master's degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of 4.0 or equivalent.
   2. Must be younger than 32 years of age by 01 January 2026.

3.    Required Documents 

Applicants must submit the following:

 (i)         Certified copy of birth certificate.

2. Certified copy of biodata page of a valid passport (if available).
3. Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts (with certified English translations if issued in another language).
4. Medical certificate issued by a registered Medical Practitioner.
5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
6. Recommendation letters 
7. Personal statement (Statement of Purpose)
8. Research proposal for postgraduate applicants only

4.    Medical Fitness

Applicants must provide a medical report confirming that they are free from infectious or communicable diseases.

5. Other Conditions
   • Applicants are required to pay the registration fee for the review of their application documents by EGYAID.
   •  Applicants must not already be enrolled in any Egyptian university

6.    Application procedure and submission

All interested and eligible candidates must read and adhere to the application process: 

1. Apply online by completing the application form available at the website:  https://admission.study-in-egypt.gov.eg
2. Select your preferred programme(s), register on the application portal, and submit your application no later than 15 September 2025

NOTE:

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania will not provide a loan or grant for candidates who are awarded this scholarship.                                                                                                                                          

7.    Interviews:

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews to be conducted by the relevant Egyptian institutions
