The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Jakarta, Indonesia is pleased to invite eligible applicants to apply for the Indonesian Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship (KNB) 2026. The scholarship is fully sponsored by the Government of Indonesia. It supports studies at  Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels across more than 250 academic programmes offered by 47 Prestigious Universities in Indonesia.

2. SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE

• covers tuition fees 
• living allowance, and
• other study-related costs.

3. APPLICATION TIMELINE

• Online applications open: 2 February 2026
• Online applications close: 31 March 2026
• Results announcement: 19 June 2026

4. APPLICATION PROCEDURE (Step-by-Step)

ii.   Contact the Indonesian Embassy in Dar es Salaam to request the Recommendation Letter.  

   You must submit the following documents (translated into English or Bahasa Indonesia and legalized by Tanzania’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs):

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Scan of valid passport
• English Proficiency Test (TOEFL/IELTS or equivalent)
• Recommendation letter from employer/immediate supervisor
• Academic recommendation letter from previous school/university
• Academic certificates and transcripts (legalized)
• (For PhD applicants only) Recommendation from potential research supervisor + Statement of Purpose

ii.         After receiving the Recommendation Letter (must be signed in 2026), register online at the official website:  

   https://knb.kemdiktisaintek.go.id/

iii.        Upload all required documents in .jpg or .jpeg format (maximum 300 KB per file).

Very Important:

Applications without the Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy will NOT be accepted.
