1.0.        Call for Applications

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malaysia is pleased to invite eligible applicants to apply for the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship 2026. The scholarship supports international students from developing countries to pursue a Master’s Degree in Malaysia. The Programme aims to build knowledge and skills that will contribute to national development. 

2.0 Scholarship Coverage

       The scholarship covers:

• Full tuition fees
• Monthly allowance of RM3,500
• Return economy-class air ticket

3.0. Duration

• 24 to 36 months
• Covers Coursework, Mixed Mode, or Research programmes

4.0. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must comply with the following criteria:

• Not more than 45 years old at the time of application; 
• Obtain a minimum of Second-Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent at the Undergraduate level;
• Provide proof of English Language Proficiency: ⮚ Scanned copy of the original proof of English Language Proficiency such as IELTS (minimum total score 6) or TOEFL internet-based test (minimum total score of 60); or has obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction. 
• Excellent level of health certified by a doctor/ physician. 

• The cost of the medical check-up shall be fully borne by the applicant.
• Medical report form can be downloaded from the MTCP scholarship website. 
• The Medical Report must be valid within 6 months from the date of application.

The government of the United of Republic of Tanzania will not provide any top-up allowances or loan for the beneficiary of this scholarship.
