1.0     Call for Applications

The general public is hereby informed that the Türkiye Scholarships program for the academic year 2026/2027 is open for eligible Tanzanians to pursue Bachelor, Master, and PhD studies in Turkey. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. Further details are available on the website: www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr.

2.0 Application requirements

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Hold a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) and an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with a First Division;
  2. Have a Diploma with a GPA of not less than 3.5 in related fields;
  3. Hold a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with at least upper second-class division level (Masters applicants);
  4. Hold a Master's degree (PhD applicants); 
  5. Must be under 21 years of age for undergraduate applicants, under 30 years of age for Master’s applicants, and under 35 years of age for PhD applicants.

3.0. Scholarship coverage

This is a fully funded scholarship, covering the following: tuition fee, monthly stipend, travel expenses (one-off flight ticket), accommodation, health insurance, and one year Turkish language course. Other costs, such as visa fees, shall be borne by the student.

4.0. List of documents to be submitted

The applicant must submit the online application form with the following supporting documents as part of the evaluation process:

  1. Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts;
  2. A copy of a Birth Certificate;
  3. A valid identity document, ID card, or passport; 
  4. A recent passport-size photograph taken within the last one year;
  5. International language test results (TOEFL, DELF, GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc); if required by the chosen university or program;
  6. A proposal for a research topic and a written example of the research carried out (for PhD candidates); 

5.0      Application process and submission

  1. All applications shall be completed online by filling out the form which is available on the following website www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr
  2. Applications can be made in 6 languages; Turkish, Arabic, English, French, Russian, and Bosnian; and
  3. Online applications will be open from 10th January 2026 and closed by 20th February 2026.
