SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FROM THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT, 2026/27

1.    Call for Applications

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to inform the general public that the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in collaboration with the Egypt Agency for Partnership for Development (EAPD), is offering scholarships to Tanzanian students to pursue Master’s degree studies for the 2026/2027 academic year, tenable at the British University in Egypt (BUE). The scholarships are available in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Political Science and Business Administration, Nursing, Medicine, Arts, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Energy.

2.    Eligibility Criteria

     Applicants for the Master’s Degree programme must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.8 or equivalent academic performance. 
• Be below 26 years of age as of 01 January 2026.

3.    Required Documents 

Applicants must submit the following:

             (i)         Certified copy of birth certificate.

            (ii)         Certified copy of biodata page of a valid passport.

          (iii)         Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts, with certified English translations if issued in another language.

          (iv)         Curriculum Vitae (CV).

           (v)         Recommendation letters from previous academic referees.

          (vi)         Personal Statement (Statement of Purpose).

         (vii)         Proof of English language proficiency through internationally recognized tests such as IELTS or TOEFL, unless the applicant has completed prior education in English-medium institutions.

4.    Medical Fitness

Applicants must provide a medical report confirming that they are free from infectious or communicable diseases.

5.    Financial benefits

The scholarship scheme will provide the following:

•  Annual return air tickets  
• Full tuition fees coverage 
• Accommodation
• Monthly stipend 
• Local transport

6.    Application procedure and submission

The application deadline is 5th June 2026, and applications must be submitted in either hard or soft copy to reach the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology not later than the indicated deadline. Applications should be sent via email to ps@moe.go.tz,  with a copy (cc) to dhe@moe.go.tz.

NOTE: The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania will not provide a loan or grant for candidates who are awarded this scholarship.
