1. Call for Application

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to announce to the general public that the Kingdom of Morocco through the Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation (AMCI), has granted a quota of 30 scholarships to eligible Tanzanian Nationals to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at Moroccan universities, technical and vocational institutions for the academic year 2025/2026. The specific distribution of these scholarships is detailed hereunder:

  • Universities and public institutions: 25 scholarships; and
  • Al Akhawayn University of Ifrane: 05 Excellence scholarships (a specific correspondence in this regard will be forwarded shortly).

Morocco has allocated scholarships for highly qualified Tanzanian candidates, who will be assigned to the following courses according to the specified distribution:

  • Medical studies (2 slots)
  • Paramedical sciences (4 slots)
  • Business and Management Sciences (6 slots)
  • Engineering and Technological Sciences (6 slots)
  • Architecture (1 slot)

 

  1. General Admission Requirements
  1. Undergraduate studies
  1. Have Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSE) with division I and II or Diploma with minimum of Upper Second Class.
  2. Age limit for the candidates should be between 19 and 23 years.
  3. Should not be admitted in any Higher Learning Institution in the country.

 

  1. Postgraduate studies
  • MASTERS

  1. Hold at least Second class Honours Upper Division Degree.
  2. Not more than 35 years old. 
  3. Should not be admitted in any Higher Learning Institution.

 

  • PHD
  1. Must be holders of Master’s degree in the required subject/specialties of studies recognized as being equivalent to Moroccan granted certificate. 
  2. Not more than 45 years old. 
  3. Should not be admitted in any Higher Learning Institution.

 

Please note:

  • Applications with a certificate level of training in French language will have an added advantage;
  • For all programmes the language of instruction is French except for Islamic and Arabic Literature which will be conducted in Arabic Language.
  • There is no loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered this scholarship.

 

  1. List of documentation to be submitted (two (02) copies each):
  1. Completed filled application forms.
  2. Copy of academic certificates and transcripts.
  3. Copy of birth certificate.
  4. Copy of your passport.
  5. Copy of National Identification.
  6. Recent criminal record.
  7. Recent passport size photographs, in color, (with the name, surname and nationality of the candidate written on the back of the photos).
  8. Prospective PhD graduates are obligated to submit their previously completed Master's dissertation or thesis, alongside their proposed doctoral thesis project.
  9. Medical certificate issued by a public medical hospital that the physical fitness of the candidate attesting that he/she is vaccinated and is free from any contagious disease or carrying a pandemic.

 

  1. Scholarship coverage
  1. The scholarship is provided as a maintenance grant, encompassing the following: 
  • Tuition fees 
  • Monthly allowance of 750 Dirhams (approximately US$75)
  1. The applicant is responsible for the following costs:
  • Accommodation
  • Registration fees 
  • Airfare ticket
  • Any additional charges directly related to academic endeavors

 

  1. Medical coverage:

Foreign students are required to subscribe to an insurance policy during their studies in Morocco that offers them the following services:

  • Reimbursement of medical expenses;
  • Medical care;
  • Final medical evacuation to home country in cases of serious illness that will not allow a student to continue with his/her studies in Morocco; and 
  • Repatriation of body in case of death in Moroccan territory.
