The section is responsible for the following activities:-
i. formulating, reviewing and monitoring implementation of policies on Technical and Vocational Education in conjunction with VET Section;
ii. monitoring setting of standards of technical education; student performance and achievement for technical education trainers;
iii. monitoring implementation of projects and training programmes related to technical education;
iv. monitoring the quality of teachers, instructors and tutors technical training and learning processes and outputs;
v. monitoring matters pertaining to curriculum, quality control and quality assurance for technical institutions;
vi. initiating and monitoring establishment of new technical education programmes;
vii. monitoring registration and accreditation of technical education institutions; and
viii. preparing and monitoring implementing of technical education development programmes.
