Introduction to Secondary Education Quality Improvement Program (SEQUIP)
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and President’s Office –Regional Administration Local Government (PO-RALG) in collaboration with the World Bank is preparing a five years program (2020/2021 – 2024/2025) for secondary education improvement, “Secondary Education Quality Improvement Program (SEQUIP). This program will provide financial support to increase access to secondary education across the country and in its 184 Councils.
Introducing the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) in collaboration with the World Bank is preparing a five years program for highereducation improvement, “Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project”.The project’s objective isto increase enrolment and improve the training quality and labor market relevance of degree programs in priority disciplines of 15 selected public universities and 4 institutions while improving governance and management of the higher education system.
The ICT training programme for secondary school teachers was established in 2010. The aim of the training programme was to equip Science and Mathematics teachers with the requisite knowledge and skills of integrating ICT in the teaching and learning of Science and mathematics subjects.
