functions and responsibilities

   To analyse application of ownership, management, teaching licences and registration of schools and teacher training colleges against set conditions and standards and make appropriate recommendations,

   To maintain registers for the ownership, management and registration of schools and teacher training colleges,

   To review and recommend improved procedures and guidelines for selection, enrolment, registration and transfer of pupils and student,

   To review, prepare and recommend guidelines for the recruitment, posting and deployment of teachers, teacher management and support services,

   To prepare and recommend mechanism of the education monitoring system,

   To review, prepare and recommend guidelines for budget preparation, revenue collection, expenditure control, and financial and material resource allocation.

   To coordinate the preparation and recommend an appropriate plan and budget preparation for each division.

   To enhance and promote national vocational training.
